The 63rd Annual Housey's Rapids Picnic

The 63rd Annual Community Picnic is upon us—a beloved tradition that continues to bring together friends, families, and neighbors for a day filled with fun, games, and connection.

Through the years we have enjoyed the company of many families that have attended regularly and some new families.  We also have a great volunteer base that has contributed to our success and we welcome anyone wishing to join our team. The Kahshe & Bass Lakes Association has sponsored this event for many years helping out with the funding of permits for Bass Lake Park, also the prizes and ribbons for the children. Over the years Muskoka Meats, has been our supplier of sausages and wieners for the BBQ.

Endless fun at the 2025 picnic!

Here’s what’s planned for this year:

  • Races and games for the little ones
  • More challenging activities for the older kids
  • The ever-popular horseshoe tournament
  • A community-wide Toss the Water Balloon game
  • The classic Tug of War
  • The high-energy “Bucket Brigade”

Throughout the afternoon, KBLA volunteers will keep the grill going, and the day will wrap up with the always-anticipated “pick-your-own-prize” draw.
