Jack Brudner (Jan 27, 1930 — Nov 15, 2024)

Marlene Brudner
November 15, 2024

Jack Brudner passed on November 15, 2024, at the age of 94. He married his lifetime partner of 67 years, Marlene, in 1956. Together they had three beautiful daughters and four wonderful grandchildren.

Jack was a lawyer, a farmer, and a generous donor to many charities, especially those that helped children. He donated his time to raise funds for these charities because he believed that all children should be able to attend the school of their choice, regardless of their financial situation.

Jack and Marlene spent many years in the community of Grey Owl on the serene Kahshe Lake. In 2007, they purchased their present home on the eastern side of Kahshe, near the river.

Jack loved nature, especially trees. At Grey Owl, he planted many trees, and at the new home, he planted three willows. He also helped his grandson plant two small pine trees in memory of Marlene’s father, who loved to sit on the porch at Grey Owl and admire the tall pines.

His favourite job was riding his John Deere tractor with his John Deere hat on his head. Perhaps some of you reading this will remember seeing Jack riding his tractor.

Unfortunately, on January 1, 2025, his eldest daughter passed away and is now with her father. They are looking after each other.
