Lake Plan

In 2001, The KBLA and Houseys Rapids Lake Residents prepared a Lake Plan for the Kahshe Lake and Bass Lake area which addressed a wide range of concerns related to water quality, boating, protection of the natural environment, and the quality of life on and around the lakes.

Vision Statement

To protect and enhance all aspects of the quality of life on Kahshe and Bass Lakes and their immediate surroundings; To maintain and enhance the environmental integrity of the lakes and their immediate surroundings; To encourage residents to respect the rights of their neighbors to enjoy the qualities that make the lakes special; and, to provide mechanisms for liaisons with Municipal and Government bodies to ensure the long term interests of the lake residents are reflected in decisions made at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
